The
ZHA™ Exception Reporter parses autosupport logs from Network Appliance filers and generates an easy to read report. Delivered right to your email, the
ZHA™ Exception Report allows the busy administrator or manager to quickly scan for potential areas of concern and locate solutions for many errors.
The Report highlights areas of interest, including:
- Filer Identification: Lists the Filer name, serial number, system ID, Data ONTAP version, and days filer has been up. This area is particularly useful for administrators with multiple filer units.
- Filer Hardware Configuration: Number and type of PCI adapters in the unit and number of spare drives available. Quickly see if slots are available and how many network or other adapters your system contains. Note at a glance if your spares are low or if you have drives available to add to your data volumes.
- Filer Storage: Total capacity possible and amount of storage in use on the filer, including a breadkdown by volume. The Report also alerts you when the filer nears maximum capacity levels, providing percentage used by volume and by filer in numerical and graphical format.
- Critical Messages: Filer error messages and warnings that are of high level interest to an administrator, with links to a site containing further information and possible actions to take.
- Additional informational messages: Similar to critical messages section, but these messages generally don't require immediate attention. Links are available for more information.
- Drive firmware: Lists drives in the system that have firmware levels lower than the latest recommended level. Older firmware can lead to drive instability and should be monitored and updated whenever possible.
